Our market had shown signs that it was cooling during the fourth quarter of 2018. However, our market has remained strong throughout 2019.
It’s still a seller’s market. Desirable homes in favorable conditions and excellent neighborhoods, and well-kept homes under the median sales price of $250,000 remain in high demand due to affordability. Higher priced homes aren’t as competitive — there are fewer multiple offers with slightly longer days on market.
Interest rates can always have an impact on home pricing if they increase, but at this time they are still historically low, which increases a buyer’s purchasing position.
